ERRORS:0000Duluth Edward Abraham ''Uncle Eddie'' Davis, 88, of Duluth died
Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006. Uncle Eddie was born May 4, 1918 in Duluth to Meyer and
Lena (Rudolph) Davis. He served as a Water Purification Technician with the Army
Corps of Engineers, serving in Persian Theatre during World War II. He helped
design and construct a water purification plant, and for this work he was
awarded college credit and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a
degree in Chemical Engineering in August, 1946. He worked as a Chemist at
U.S. Steel until the plant closure, finishing his working career at the
Accounting Department of US Bank. He was an avid reader and loved taking walks. He was also
an interesting conversationalist, had a passion for attending rummage sales
and meeting new people. He was very family orientated and was a friend to all
who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ben
Davis; his sisters, Anne Greenberg and Sharon Fingerote; and special
companion, Grace Dunaisky. He is survived by his brother, Harry (Adella) Davis; his
sister-in-law, Blanche Davis all of St. Louis Park, Minn., and numerous
nieces and nephews. SERVICES:11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, in Temple Israel, 1602 E
